The Apollonio winery has deep historical and family roots in the Puglia region. Founded in the 1870s, the winery has been run by several generations of the Apollonio family. The Puglia region is known for its warm Mediterranean climate and rich winemaking tradition. Notable appellations of origin in Puglia include Salice Salentino DOC and Copertino DOC for red wines, and Primitivo di Manduria DOC for wines made primarily from the Primitivo grape.
