Umbria has several appellations of controlled origin (DOC), and some of the best known include “Colli Martani” and “Torgiano Rosso Riserva”. These appellations support the quality and authenticity of the wines produced in the region.
La Carraia grows several varieties of grapes typical of the region and, possibly, some international varieties. Native grapes such as Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Trebbiano are common in Umbria.
